This is the maiden post of this blog–a blog which, in due time, will become a useful (and hopefully entertaining) resource for Orlando-bound vacationers. So, as a worthy preamble, perhaps some discussion of Orlando tourism in general is due…
Greater Orlando holds a unique place in annals of tourism. It’s a city that does theme parks like Paris does fashion. There’s just nothing else like it anywhere in the world–Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, twenty golf courses, two of North America’s largest malls, and a palm-studded, sun-drenched subtropical climate enjoyable throughout the year. There’s even an alligator theme park here (with real, live, extremely ill-tempered alligators).
Certainly, there’s a lot to do in Orlando/Central Florida (and it’s not just theme parks, either–Orlando rarely gets credit for the other things it offers, like nature/eco-tours, first-class dining, and even a winery). So we at Starmark Vacation Homes would like to help you make the most of everything greater Orlando has to offer–that’s the purpose of this blog.
We’ll clue-you-in to the latest, greatest attractions, like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, and we’ll keep you up-to-date with key news stories relevant to Orlando tourism–like the Gulf Oil Spill, of recent interest. And we’ll try to save you money, too. For starters, check out our company website, www.StarmarkVacationHomes.com. You’ll find all our best deals on Orlando vacation rental homes right on the front page.
And, if you don’t believe us, believe CBS news: vacation rental homes are the way to go if want to save money on an Orlando vacation.
Also, check out our Parks & Entertainment page for a concise overview of what Orlando has to offer. It’s not everything of course, but it’s a start, especially if you don’t know the area.
